Posts through the week cast migrants as a sexual danger; on September 7, Steve_Laws_ wrote that legal immigrants and their children "rape and kill in a much larger capacity". On September 10 RadioGenoa posted on X about migrants living rough in Ceuta: "The invaders are in an altered state, heightening concerns for the elderly, women, and children in Ceuta." No incident against anyone is described. The whole group is presented as intoxicated and as a threat to the people least able to defend themselves. On September 12 the account added that "the invaders in Ceuta are stalking women". The September 10 post drew about 49,406 views.
Invaders fixes the group and altered state makes every member of it intoxicated, on the strength of empty bottles and glue on the sand. The line about the elderly, women and children then says who should be afraid of them. Putting a whole group between women and children and their safety is one of the oldest ways of making a group look dangerous, and it is done here without a single act described.
The step from litter to people settles it. Bottles prove that someone drank; the post says the invaders are in an altered state, all of them, and moves straight to the danger they pose. A fair-minded reader should notice how little sits under the sentence and how much of it is the word invaders doing the work.
