'They're all Jews,' posted under an image, makes Jewish identity the explanation for whoever is in it.

SeverityHatefulTreats a group as lesser, dangerous, or not fully human, whether it says so about the group or about one person for belonging to it. Everything at this level.

What was said

Drones launched from Iraq hit Saudi Arabia's East-West crude pipeline on September 10 and 11, and the Strait of Hormuz stays closed by the war with Iran. Through the week, 4chan /pol/ threads spoke of a "Jewish-American war with Iran" and of Putin, Trump, Netanyahu and Orban as one "Chabad Axis". On September 8, HenryMakow posted on X an image of a set of public figures with one sentence under it: "They're all Jews." The post gives no argument and says nothing about what the figures did. Jewish identity is offered as the fact that explains them. The post drew 40,593 views.

Why it counts

A caption that says the people in a picture are all Jewish, and stops there, tells the reader that being Jewish is what they have in common and what explains them. That is the oldest form of the claim that Jewish people act together behind public life. It lands on every Jewish person, since the sentence gives no other reason for the grouping.

The image is gone, so the sentence stands alone, and what settles the reading is the company it keeps. The same account posted in the same week that Judaism is Satanism, which tells a fair-minded reader how the three words were meant. A reader should take the caption as an accusation against Jewish people as a whole, with the picture as the pretext.
