The assault is a real act by one person, and an account could condemn it without touching anyone else. This caption reaches the man's nationality before it reaches what he did, and hangs two words on it: 'feral,' which is for animals, and 'invader,' which is for armies. Neither describes the punch.
The closing line generalizes from the bus to public transport as a whole, which is the move that makes one man's conduct the predicted behaviour of a group.
