On 31 August 2026, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries called Laura Loomer a "stone-cold racist" after she described Florida Senate nominee Angie Nixon, Ilhan Omar and Ayanna Pressley as "ghetto, entitled, race-obsessed, destructive black" women. Loomer answered on X the same day, defending the wording in a post that reached 1.85 million impressions, and over the following days applied the same label to others, including Rep. LaMonica McIver. This card is her post of 4 September, which called broadcaster Joy Reid "today's example of a ghetto, black, communist," followed by a crude word for women, said she was "acting a fool" on her show, and ended with a pun on hair weaves. It drew about 268,798 views.
'Today's example' treats the label as a daily feature with a slot to fill, and Reid is the fourth Black woman to fill it this week. The weave pun and the substituted name are tropes about Black women's hair and Black women's names as such, with nothing in them about anything Reid said.
Our confidence here is medium. Reid is a media figure, and a post about one broadcaster can be a post about one broadcaster; what makes it a post about a group is the repetition, the same words landing on woman after woman across the week.
