'They don't contribute anything of value': a faith, marked worthless and unwelcome.
On 3 September 2026 French women launched a headscarf campaign against a far-right proposal to ban the garment. Around the same time Austria moved toward a constitutional ban on political Islam, Portugal banned full-face veils in public, and Rupert Lowe said Britain must copy Austria. That week ten posts pressed for exclusion. One of them came from LauraLoomer on X on 1 September. She wrote that "Nobody wants more Muslims in America", adding that "they don't contribute anything of value to our country" and that "their anti-American jihadist ideology is not welcome here." The post reached 166,911 views.
Every sentence is about the group and none is about a person. Muslim people contribute nothing, hold a hostile ideology by default, and are unwanted; the three claims stack into a verdict of inferiority that ends in exclusion.
'Their jihadist ideology' assigns the creed of a violent fringe to everyone in the faith, which is the step that turns a preference about immigration into a statement about what Muslim people are.
