'Ban Muslims from holding office,' argued from a joy nobody has shown.
Abdul El-Sayed is the Michigan Senate nominee. On 2 September 2026, Sen. John Fetterman said on Hannity that El-Sayed "absolutely loves Sharia law" and supports Hamas and Iran, and AIPAC posted the same day tying him to Hasan Piker. Laura Loomer called El-Sayed a "jihadist". The post on this card came earlier, on 31 August, when Loomer wrote "Ban Muslims from holding office in America!" and said Muslim people like El-Sayed "are elated every 9/11 as they get to celebrate the death of nearly 3,000 Americans." That post was seen 119,977 times.
The demand comes first and it is total: no Muslim person may hold office, on the ground of religion and nothing else. The Constitution's bar on religious tests is the thing being asked to go.
The second sentence is the justification, and 'Muslims like' is how one named candidate becomes a class. The joy at mass murder is assigned to him and, through him, to every Muslim person in the country. No conduct of El-Sayed's is offered; his faith is the evidence.
