'Defeat the communists,' with Franco named as the method.
On September 4, 2026, the X account JackPosobiec posted a short message about political enemies. It read, "To defeat the communism You must defeat the communists," and closed with "Franco Friday HAS COMMENCED." The reference is to Franco, who defeated communists in Spain, put forward here as the model to follow. It was one of a same-day series of posts invoking Franco. The claim being made is that communists, as a political group, have to be beaten the way Franco beat them. The post drew about 25,854 impressions.
The first line moves from an idea to the people who hold it. On its own that could mean winning an argument or an election. The second line supplies the model, and Franco's answer to communists was execution, prison and the camps.
That's what puts this at the violence level under our political-outgroup lens. The post doesn't call for killing anyone. It names who is to be defeated and holds up, as the model, the regime that shot them; the end-state is carried by the reference, and the account ran it as a celebration across the day.
