'Raped and killed by migrants on a daily basis': a crime rate invented for a whole group.

What was said

A crisis over a migrant surge into Ceuta ran into a second week. Pedro Sánchez said Israel and Russia were spreading disinformation about it, and on Sep 2 MEPs from the EPP and Patriots for Europe rallied against him in Strasbourg. Online, accounts posting about the surge told readers that migrants were attacking women and girls, and that claim is the argument here. On Sep 4, Eva Vlaar wrote on X that "European children are raped and killed by migrants on a daily basis and we barely see this level of fury." The post reached 685,478 views.

Why it counts

The sentence offers a whole-group crime as fact. No case, no place, no number, only 'migrants' and 'daily,' and daily is what does the work: it makes the menace a standing condition of the group. Particular people doing things on particular days drop out of the picture.

The dolphin is the sharpening device. Setting public grief for an animal beside an invented daily toll of children makes the comparison the argument, and the group's guilt the premise it rests on.
