THE THING ABOUT IT IS.

One clip, and half the population dismissed with a slur.

SeverityHatefulTreats a group as lesser, dangerous, or not fully human, whether it says so about the group or about one person for belonging to it. Everything at this level.

What was said

Over one week, eight posts carried the same assertion: that women as a sex are innately defective. Anonymous posts on 4chan's /pol/ board on August 24, August 25 and August 29 called women obsolete once artificial wombs arrive, described women at a public trial as a menu, and used slurs. On August 26, LaurenWitzkeDE said a female officer was "completely useless next to her male partner," reaching about 1,749,090 impressions. This card is the MyronGainesX post from August 28, which said a video "proves how [slur for intellectual disability] women are and what they will do if they think you are famous and have status." It drew 83,228 views.

Why it counts

The slur assigns stupidity to women as a group, in the account's own voice, and the universal phrasing forecloses any reading about the individuals actually shown.

One clip proves nothing about half of humanity. The sentence needs it to, because the degradation is the point.
