A university instructor gave a street speech in the Bathurst and Sheppard neighbourhood of Toronto, an area where many Jewish people live, and addressed them directly. In the speech he said that Zionists are "mischievous", that they "create black magic", that they "seduced leaders on Epstein island", and that they "rape, eat and kill children". On 24 August 2026 the X account HonestRepCanada posted video of the speech, presenting the footage in condemnation and describing it as false claims about Zionists. The post reached 8,868 impressions. The claim being made in the speech is that Jewish people, named as Zionists, harm and kill children.
The claims carry the structure of blood libel, and the venue settles who they are about. A speech delivered where Jewish residents live, accusing 'Zionists' of murdering children, is aimed at the people in front of the speaker. No state's conduct is in the room.
