Over three days in late August 2026, an X account called HomerPavlos, writing for an audience in Greece, put out a run of posts casting Turkish and Muslim people as enemies of Christian and Greek civilization. On 26 August 2026 it said "A new war is coming, and soon humanity will have to choose sides. With the Greek or with the barbarian," putting Turkish people on the barbarian side alongside remarks about Erdogan's speech. On 27 August 2026 it said Muslim Turks loved flaying Christians alive. This post, from 28 August 2026, widens that to all Muslims: "During the Ottoman period, Muslims enjoyed performing all kinds of mutilations." It drew 66308 views.
The earlier entries named Muslim Turkish people. This one drops the nationality and attributes enjoyment of mutilation to Muslim people wholesale, a claim about group essence dressed as history.
