Reform UK said on 28 August 2026 that Jordan Bardella, the French far-right leader, would speak at its party conference. A day earlier, polling shared with Politico suggested a Farage pact with Rupert Lowe's Restore Britain would cost Reform support either way. On 25 August Nigel Farage had posted on X that "young males with no identity documents who come from dangerous cultures" should not walk the streets of Essex towns, and on 29 August the MP Lee Anderson wrote of "undocumented young men from backward cultures". The same day, the account DavidVance posted that Pakistan is "a failed State populated by people who should not be allowed out of it!" The post drew 6,971 views.
The demand is confinement by nationality: an entire people barred from leaving their country for the offense of being from it. 'Populated by' moves the indictment off the government and onto the inhabitants.
