'Replaced,' an MP says of British communities, and he won't apologize for the word.

What was said

After the Telegraph called Restore Britain “beyond the pale,” Lowe restated that British communities have been “replaced through mass immigration” and said he made “no apologies whatsoever.”

Why it counts

Communities change. Calling what moved in a replacement of what was there casts newer residents as a substitution for the people who belong. The plainer description is neighbors who joined them.

Restating the claim after being called out on it, without softening it, is itself part of what's being reported here.

Rupert Lowe

"The Telegraph attacks us yet again today, labelling Restore Britain as 'beyond the pale'. I make no apologies for stating that entire communities across Britain have been replaced through mass immigration. No apologies whatsoever. Millions of British men and women have watched"
