The Islamic State's spokesman told followers to keep attacking Jewish and Christian targets, and pointed at the dead as proof it works.
In a released speech, the group’s spokesman told followers to “continue your attacks, o heroic lions, against crusader and Jewish targets everywhere,” and cited killings in Sydney and Orleans as evidence of what his soldiers had accomplished.
This is the plainest item in the entire half-year. A direct instruction to kill people for their religion, from an organization whose purpose is that, with prior killings offered as encouragement.
It matters where this one landed. We ran a dedicated 38-account lane looking for anti-Christian hate and it produced nothing for six months. The one account-level item that targets Christians came from the Islamic State, not from anywhere in domestic American media.
