Sens. Ron Johnson and Rand Paul released private 2021 texts in which Fauci called a miscarriage association with the second vaccine dose theoretical, the same week Trump signed an executive order on splitting the MMR vaccine and trimming the childhood schedule.
The number carrying the claim was manufactured: 104 miscarriages divided by only the 127 completed early pregnancies, excluding roughly 700 women who hadn't yet had time to deliver. The underlying study found 12.6 percent, and CDC's completed analysis across 12,097 people found 10.79 percent, no elevated risk.
The texts themselves cut the other way. A January 2021 message calling the association theoretical, before pregnancy data existed, followed by public reassurance as a million-plus studied pregnancies came back clean, is a view tracking evidence. Concealment would look like the opposite.

If Fauci privately knew of and covered up a serious miscarriage risk, his own text messages would show him maintaining that concealment as more complete safety data came in, rather than revising his stated view toward reassurance as the evidence base grew.
